Scott Bradley
Scott is the McGyver of the motorcycle world. The word “Problem”, “Difficulty” or “Complication” is defined as a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome. Scott is the guy who can identity the problem and through rational thought together with deductive logic successfully and with the utmost of certainty pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Scott moved to Southern California at an early age. Growing up at the same time as the car culture was exploding, Scott’s interest in cars and motorcycles was exploding at an equal pace. Scott’s parents, his father was a Marine Corps veteran working in the Computer Engineering field and his mother a member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians in Bartlesville, Oklahoma was an Orthopedic Nurse. Both parents instilled in Scott a work ethic of determination and dedication. So determined in fact that Scott was working on rebuilding cars and bikes before he could legally drive. As a young boy his father would take him riding on his motorcycle. Scott’s Dad later purchased a 1966 Mustang coupe from a junkyard so the two could rebuild the car together.
Scott’s passion for cars and motorcycles led him to work at private automotive restoration shops, custom car building shops and two Harley Davidson dealerships. The influences of his mother, saw Scott working part time at Hospitals in the Critical Care and Intensive Care units. He is also a certified Divemaster with the National Association of Underwater Instructors. Scott’s diving got him interested in photography and videography, which Scott used to work in the film industry on projects such as The Rock, Godzilla, Cop Land, Spay Hard, What Lies Beneath. He also has been involved in music videos and commercials for Budweiser Ice, Evian, Pantene and Seiko to name a few.
As a Master Mechanic there is nothing Scott can’t fix or build. Scott holds certifications from Harley Davidson University including: Master of Service Technology, Chrome Consulting, Service Sales Consultant (Gold Level), Parts and Accessories Sales Consultant, General Merchandising Sales Consultant and Motorcycle Sales Consultant, just to name a few.
Scott has been riding motorcycles all his life owning 6 Harleys to date. When Harley Davidson came out with the 100th Year Anniversary Edition Road King, Scott had his eye on acquiring that bike for his collection. As Scott describes, “When Harley announced that 100th Year Anniversary bike all my focus was on owning that bike. The 100th Anniversary Edition is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was not going to let that one get away”.
Scott began to research the bike and the lineage of the bike when it was released to the market and the variations that were sold. He discovered the model that Harley had produced in a minimal quantity, which also had a two-tone paint scheme. “I found the bike in New York” says Scott. “I was very particular when I was looking for this bike. I found one with only 650 miles. I booked a flight the next day to New York and bought the bike. I rented a U Haul, loaded it up and drove it home. I swear, I had a smile on my face for the entire 3000-mile drive back to California.”
It was through Scott’s friendship with Styles that he became involved with The Edge. “I was out one Friday for Happy Hour at the restaurant Styles was managing” says Scott. “Styles introduced me to Russ who was there as well and mentioned that Russ was putting this motorcycle ride together and we should talk. As Russ explained what he wanted to do I said brother count me in! The shear fact that I could ride, something I just love to do, and do it all summer long to help children and animal related charities I just had one question for Russ. When do we leave?”
